EAST HOATHLY and Halland
I have a long standing interest in the history of East Hoathly. I have on computer all the parish registers and the census returns, plus miscellaneous information, and can provide a print out of any given surname. I am always looking for more information and postcards, prints, ephemera - literally anything to do with East Hoathly. e-mail me, Jane Seabrook, on jane@claras.eclipse.co.uk

THE FAMILY PHOTOGRAPH SURNAME INDEX
This index contains genealogical information written on British and foreign photographs dating from 1860 onwards. Sometimes there is just a surname, sometimes more. Any information, including the photographer’s details, on these photographs is lost to the genealogist, so I catalogue and offer this information to family historians. Supporters who have used the index, send me photographs of their own family and any that they have found at fairs or antique shops, to add to the collection. Donations will be welcome and a service to others, but I am always ready to cover reasonable costs if any have been purchased.
The Index of Surnames from Old Photographs has been put on CD-rom, which can be viewed by any computer using Adobe Acrobat Reader (free software). The data on this CD is completely self-contained and requires no installation. There are no photographs on the CD but it contains the following:-
Story of the Family Photographic Index

The Family Photographic Index tabulated alphabetically by:-

b) Surnames of photographers. 2561 names (no photograph of the photographer, but we have mostly the addresses and the logos.
